This organisation was formed to enable local communities to improve their recycling rate. The service also provided valuable opportunities for our workers to develop skills and increase their employment potential.

By now the recycling service has developed from its original 4 employees to its present workforce of 15 people. A number of students from local colleges and special needs schools join us on work experience programmes.
In July 2000, a major new project was launched to reuse white goods (cookers, fridge's, washing machines etc.). This service will run in conjunction with our present Furniture Scheme, and will be situated at a new site in Caernarfon.
The company believes that the secret of successful local recycling lies in creating a network of Recycling Sites, and hopes that eventually it will be possible not only to collect the materials locally but also to reuse the collected materials within the community as well.
The work of the Recycling Service can be divided into four main sections - community recycling sites, business services, furniture scheme and recycling education.
